Europe trip: Amsterdam

by - Monday, October 07, 2013

finally, this lazy ass gonna blog abt the europe trip. haha! hv been thinking about doing it since August but... hahaha!
and i've decided to blog according to the countries we went.
anyway, i shall do a brief introduction first.
on 26th July 2013, me and my dad met up at KLIA. transit at Singapore, then took the longest flight ever! around 13 hrs flight (by KLM). the aircraft was full with Europeans! me and my dad were the only Asians with yellow skin. felt so proud. haha!
finally reach New Castle after a total of 30 hours journey including the transit and waiting time.
stayed in Sunderland, UK at my sis's place. had jetlag for one week, feeling very sleepy when it's only 5pm over there(malaysia time is 12midnight). imagine 12midnight but we still doing shopping and walking here and there...haha...
and then after few days, we joined EXPAT europe tour! 6 countries(Paris, Switzerland, Netherland/Amsterdam, Austria, Germany, Belgium) in 10 days! whoots! it was really a wonderful and amazing tour!!!

its gonna be very boring if i blog about it by day...
and right now the 1st country that comes to my mind is Netherland!

the first thing we did when we reach there was, visiting the Windmill village in Zaanse Schans.
really beautiful view! with green grasses, river, blue sky and the main character, the windmill!
it just cools down your soul and make u feel peace from within. =)

peace~!

a place with no amazing architecture, but still so beautiful.
'you're amazing, just the way you are~!'
lesson learnt: be natural, be simple. just be you. because natural is beauty itself. 自然就是美~

look! we were the cover girls! hahaha! jk. they took it for everyone and hoped that they'll buy.
then we visited the cheese and clog factory.

so many cheeeeeese!!! with different flavors! smoke ham, herbs, etc etc...

in the process

Ta-daaa! final end products ready for sold! so pretty, aren't they?
Next, we went to Volendam for lunch! we had the best fish and chip! the fish is so soft and sweet and fresh!
and we were almost late because we waited for the Dutch pancake! but no regrets! it was sooooooo good!!!
photo with our coach driver, Maico. he is a Dutch! and he is so tall! =)

really tasted so gooooooood!!! it melts in your mouth!!! yummy!!!

running back to the coach because we were late! and yes i am the slowest! haha!

Amsterdam- note their buildings are tipped towards us. bcz the tax for land are very expensive, so they build the buildings with smaller dimension and gradually increases towards the top.  pretty smart!

last but not least, we went to Red Light District.
and found this!

condoms of different sizes and shapes and colours!
to be honest this is my 1st time see real condoms!!! hahaha!
tour guide told us, this shop got hire girls to help take measurement of the 'ehermm'
LOL!!!
she told us abt the red lights.
and actually there are green lights and blue lights too!
green means the 'girl' is not actually a girl!
and blue means the girl is very very pretty and very expensive! it cost upto 500euros! wow!
and then we just walked and looked around. we were trying to find blue lights. lol!
we were not allowed to take photos there. as the tour guide told us, the girls could get really angry when someone took pictures of them. and previously, a girl got so mad and came out to throw the tourist's camera into the river.
i understand why.

over there, girls wearing bikinis(some even wore the bikini which fluoresce) standing behind the glass door, trying to attract customer. some are pretty and hot!
and they actually need to pay(quite alot) for that display window! meaning to say if they cant get any customer they still have to pay to rent that unit.
to be honest, i 欣赏 them. (i tried to google translate it to english, and it says admire? lol).
i know we're living in a judgemental world. everyone wears a 'colourful spec' when they look at prostitute.
but i respect those at amsterdam. i think they truly deserve our respect.
we have to admit that a lot are less fortunate than us.
perhaps this is their only way of earning, in order to survive.
they had their own sacrifices.
as long as they don't do things that are against the law and harm others, i don't think any of us has the right to judge them.
compared to mistress, i think prostitute deserve to be respected more.
at least they are not destroying a family because of money.
they made it pretty clear that it is just a business.
they sacrificed their body and pride.
at least i think they are more 光明磊落 than mistress, who just hiding behind trying to suck the bloody money out of the guy. they are getting money by destroying other's family and happiness. BOOO! shame on you! you are worse than a prostitute!
the only exception are for those who willing to be mistress because of love.
sometimes the timing just isn't right, maybe when you found the one but he is married. lol. i watched too much dramas. but still, it just does not feel right to be with someone who already married and have their own family. it is never right to build your own happiness by destroying other's.
i believe in karma. you ll get what you did in the end.

this video almost made me cried. that kind of heavy feeling that squeezes your heart.
especially that look on her face (towards the end of this video).
it screams one word: despair.

STOP THE TRAFFIK!!!
human should not be bought and sold!
